Ukrainian Interior Ministry Leadership Killed in Helicopter Crash in Kyiv

Sixteen people have died as a result of a helicopter crash in the Kyiv region. Among the casualties are the country's Interior Minister Denis Monastyrsky and his first deputy Yevgeny Yenin, reported Igor Klimenko, the head of Ukraine's National Police.

Earlier, it was announced that a total of 16 victims have been confirmed, including 2 children.

The cause of the crash has yet to be determined.

Denis Monastyrsky had been the head of Ukraine’s Ministry of Internal Affairs since mid-July 2021. Yevgeny Yenin was appointed as his deputy at the end of August that same year.
