Russian Defense Ministry on Negotiations Regarding the Situation in Artsakh and the Lachin Corridor

The command of the Russian peacekeepers continues the negotiation process with Armenian and Azerbaijani parties regarding the resumption of unimpeded movement of road transport through the Stepanakert-Goris route. This was reported in the daily briefing of the Russian Defense Ministry.

It was noted that the Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to perform its tasks in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the source, Russian peacekeepers carry out round-the-clock monitoring at 30 observation posts and ensure adherence to the ceasefire regime.

“Patrols have been conducted in the Martakert, Martuni, and Shushi regions along three routes. Continuous cooperation with the general staffs of the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia is maintained to ensure the safety of Russian peacekeepers and to prevent possible incidents,” the statement said.
