Peskov Comments on the Collapse of a Building in Dnipropertrovsk

The press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, has commented on the partial collapse of a building in Dnipropertrovsk. On January 14, a part of a nine-story residential building collapsed in Dnipropertrovsk. Official sources in Ukraine claimed that it was due to a fallen missile.

Peskov provided comments to reporters on January 16 regarding the incident. “You have seen the conclusions from certain representatives of the Ukrainian side, which state that this tragedy was the result of actions by anti-aircraft missile systems,” said Peskov, responding to questions on how the Kremlin could comment on Kyiv's attempts to assign responsibility for the building's collapse to Russia.

Earlier, Alexei Arestovich, an advisor to the Ukrainian President's office, admitted that part of the building collapsed due to the impact of a missile hit by Ukrainian forces. According to the latest data from the Ukrainian side, the building's collapse resulted in the deaths of 36 people, including two children. Additionally, 60 adults and 15 children were injured.
