Aleksey Arestovich's Statement Sparks Controversy
Ukrainian presidential advisor Aleksey Arestovich's statement has sparked a scandal.
A missile that struck a residential building in Dnipro was reportedly intercepted by Ukraine's air defense forces, after which the missile fell on the entrance of a high-rise building and exploded. This was announced by Aleksey Arestovich. According to him, a toxic substance, which is used to charge X-22 missiles, is an additional element of the target’s destruction.
It is noteworthy that following the strike on the residential building, at least 64 injuries and 15 fatalities have been reported, with 26 people still trapped under the rubble. A three-day mourning period has been declared in Dnipro. Dnipro's mayor, Boris Filatov, has called on the Ukrainian armed forces and counterintelligence to respond to Arestovich's remarks, expressing outrage and labeling the advisor as irresponsible.
Furthermore, Arestovich's statements have been commented on by the Ukrainian Air Force. The military noted that they do not possess means capable of intercepting the type of missile that struck the high-rise building in Dnipro.
