Messi and Mbappe Compete for the Title of Best Player of the Year
FIFA has nominated 14 players for the 2022 Best Player of the Year award, as reported by Rg.ru.
Among them are the heroes of the World Cup held in Qatar, Argentina's captain Lionel Messi and France's star Kylian Mbappe. Both players represent the French club PSG.
In addition to them, vying for the title are Frenchman Karim Benzema (Real Madrid) and Senegalese Sadio Mane (Bayern), as well as Polish forward Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona, Croatian Luka Modric (Real Madrid), Brazilians Neymar (PSG) and Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid), Argentine Julian Alvarez (Manchester City), Belgian Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Englishman Jude Bellingham (Borussia Dortmund), Norwegian Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Moroccan Achraf Hakimi (PSG), and Egyptian Mohamed Salah (Liverpool).
The coaches competing for the title of Best Coach are Argentina's coach Lionel Scaloni, Real Madrid's head coach Carlo Ancelotti, France's coach Didier Deschamps, Morocco's coach Walid Regragui, and Manchester City's coach Josep Guardiola.
