Snow, Fog: Situation on Armenia's Roads

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads in the territory of Armenia.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari are closed. The Vanadzor-Alaverdi and Noyemberyan-Voskepar roads are difficult to navigate for trucks with trailers.

Snow is observed in the Aragatsotn and Tavush regions, as well as in the cities of Vanadzor, Stepanavan, and Spitak, and in the Ashotsq region and the area known as "Meghri Mountain".

Fog is reported on the Gorayk-Zanger road.

Regarding the Larsi checkpoint, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Department of Emergency Situations and the Crisis Management Center of Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations for North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
