Opposition Human Rights Defender from Gyumri Abducted in Front of Child, Wife Reports

The wife of Gyumri's opposition human rights defender Karapet Poghosyan, Angin Malkhasyan, reports that her husband was taken away in the presence of their young child, on the instructions of the police. She made a post on her Facebook page, stating that 'The car is there, but my husband is not. According to local police, he has been abducted on a personal order. Whose personal order led to the political persecution and abduction in front of our young child?'

Malkhasyan urged the attention of the Armenian police and the Human Rights Defender's office in her post, accompanied by a photo related to the incident.
