Luxembourg Calls on Azerbaijan to Ensure Citizens' Movement through Lachin Corridor
Luxembourg has urged Azerbaijan to ensure the free and safe movement of citizens through the Lachin Corridor. This was announced by Luxembourg's Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn. The press service of the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Twitter that Asselborn had a phone conversation with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan.
During the conversation, the interlocutors discussed the alarming situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and the humanitarian crisis resulting from Azerbaijan's blockade of the Lachin Corridor.
“The parties must find a solution through dialogue,” the statement said. It was also noted that Russia should fulfill its obligations under the trilateral statement to restore the flow of cargo and passengers through the Lachin Corridor.
Additionally, Luxembourg's foreign ministry supports the deployment of a European Union mission in Armenia to stabilize the situation.
