All Agricultural Work in Artsakh Ceased Due to Lack of Diesel Fuel, Says Safaryan
The government is making significant efforts to avoid a humanitarian disaster; unfortunately, the situation is worsening due to shortages of all types of goods, stated Hrant Safaryan, the Minister of Agriculture of Artsakh, during a press conference on the issue of the blockade of Artsakh.
“Some products are completely absent from the market, and grocery stores have long been closed,” said Safaryan.
The minister noted that there are certain reserves of fruits and vegetables in the villages, but this is insufficient to supply the 120,000 residents. “At this moment, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic and the Agricultural Support Fund are working, under extreme pressure, to ensure that food products provided to entrepreneurs from the reserve fund are distributed equally and timely,” the minister added.
He emphasized that all agricultural work has been halted due to the lack of diesel fuel.
