Zelensky Strips Several MPs, Including Medvedchuk, of Ukrainian Citizenship
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has stripped several members of the former political party "Opposition Platform - For Life" of their Ukrainian citizenship, including popular deputies Viktor Medvedchuk, Taras Kozak, and Renat Kuzmin, as well as former deputy Andriy Derkach.
This information was shared by Zelensky during his evening video address. He stated, "Based on materials prepared by the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Migration Service of Ukraine, and in accordance with our state Constitution, I have made the decision to terminate the citizenship of four individuals: Andriy Leonidovych Derkach, Taras Romanovych Kozak, Renat Ravelevych Kuzmin, and Viktor Volodymyrovych Medvedchuk."
Furthermore, Zelensky added, "If representatives of the people choose to serve not the people of Ukraine, but the murderers arriving in Ukraine, then our actions will be accordingly." He mentioned that these will not be the last such decisions and that the services are working on it. The official document has yet to be published. Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky had revoked the citizenship of 13 priests of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
