The individual who carried out the attack in Paris today is a Libyan who arrived in France three years ago, according to BFM television.

It has been reported that the assailant is approximately 20 years old and had previously been known to the police for various offenses.

As noted by the television station, the man was ordered to leave France in the summer of 2022; however, he did not comply with that order.

Earlier, it was reported that an unknown individual attacked people with a knife at the Gare du Nord station in Paris. At least six people were injured in the incident, including one police officer. The suspect was neutralized by the police.
