VIDEO: This government has agreed with Turkey and Azerbaijan not to strengthen the Armenian army, says Seyran Ohanyan
The Armenian-Azerbaijani borders are very far from Azerbaijani settlements, but very close to ours, and our settlements are under shelling. This was stated today, January 11, during a press briefing with journalists in the National Assembly by Seyran Ohanyan, leader of the 'Armenia' faction and former Minister of Defense.
‘Having our people, infrastructure, and Armenian settlements behind us, we failed to organize quickly and occupy all strategic points along the contact line to defend our country. On the other hand, Azerbaijan was able to rapidly advance from settlements deep within its territory, without having adequate infrastructure or roads, and take over our borders, quickly reinforcing all roads, infrastructure, and positions behind them because it utilized its state's entire construction capacity. Meanwhile, our state’s construction potential is being used in other directions,’ he said.
