This Should Serve as a Reminder for the UN: Zohrab Mnatsakanyan
"The representatives of the Azerbaijani government, who have been besieging Artsakh on behalf of the Azerbaijani president for a month, are awakening memories of the Janjaweed tribes rampaging in Darfur under al-Bashir's name. This should serve as a reminder to the UN about its inability to protect," stated Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
Azerbaijan has kept the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the outside world, the Lachin Corridor, closed since December 12, 2022. Due to the closure of the road, 1,100 people, including 270 children, have been unable to return to Artsakh from Armenia. This has led to violations of the right to free movement, the provision of minimum living standards, access to medical care, education, and other rights.
