Snow Falling in Some Cities; Road Closures and Difficult Conditions

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed roads in the territory of Armenia.

The highways from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to the Amberd Fortress and Karih Lake are closed. The Vanadzor-Alaverdi and Noyemberyan-Voskepar highways are difficult for trucks with trailers to navigate.

Snow is falling in the cities of Kapan, Goris, Kajaran, Vanadzor, Stepanavan, and in the Tavush Province.

According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Management Department and the North Ossetian Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
