Ukraine Terminates Agreement on Trade and Economic Representations with Russia
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has withdrawn from the agreement with the Russian government regarding the mutual establishment of trade and economic representations attached to the embassies of the two countries, reports TASS, citing the representative of the government in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
“The action of the agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of the Russian Federation on the mutual establishment of a division of the trade and economic mission in the composition of the Ukrainian embassy in the Russian Federation and the trade representation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine has been terminated,” announced Melnychuk after a government meeting.
This agreement was signed on April 29, 2009, in Moscow. It should be reminded that on February 24, 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine had decided to sever diplomatic relations with Russia.
