There Is No Alternative to the Organization: CSTO Secretary General

The Secretary General of the CSTO, Imangali Tasmagambetov (who has held the position since January 1, 2023), stated that there is no alternative to the CSTO, emphasizing that the organization is capable of addressing the challenges it faces.

“I am deeply convinced that despite all the challenges, there is no alternative to the CSTO, and the organization is capable of solving the problems set before it,” Tasmagambetov's statements were cited by CSTO Secretary General Vladimir Zainetdinov.

“There are many complex political, economic, and other issues awaiting solutions. Equally complex issues are also on the agenda for the CSTO. All these challenges and issues are related to the key role of our organization, its credibility, and its ability to be an effective mechanism for ensuring regional security. The future credibility and effectiveness of the organization depend on us,” added Imangali Tasmagambetov.
