Russian Defense Ministry on the Situation Around the Lachin Corridor

The Russian peacekeeping contingent continues to fulfill its assigned tasks in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was stated in the daily report of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that the Russian peacekeepers are conducting round-the-clock monitoring of the situation at 30 observation posts and are overseeing the adherence to the ceasefire regime.

The command of the Russian peacekeepers continues negotiations with the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides regarding the resumption of unhindered movement of automobile transport along the Stepanakert-Goris road.

"Patrols have been conducted in the Martakert and Martuni regions and along the Lachin corridor through three routes. Continuous cooperation with the military staffs of Azerbaijan and Armenia is maintained to ensure the safety of the Russian peacekeepers and to prevent possible incidents," the statement reads.
