Azerbaijani Armed Forces Have Been in Armenian Territory for 30 Years: Nikol Pashinyan
The Azerbaijani armed forces have been present in the territory of the Republic of Armenia for 30 years.
This statement was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a press conference, reminding that since the early 1990s, Azerbaijani forces have occupied approximately 70 square kilometers of Armenian land, particularly in the Tavush and Ararat regions.
“Yes, in the last 1.5 years, since May 2021, Azerbaijan has occupied new areas of Armenia. Our position is that the Azerbaijani armed forces must withdraw from our territories. We will consistently implement all diplomatic measures to achieve this goal,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
He emphasized that it’s crucial for the Armenian side not to become the cause of new provocations, thus “our actions stem from this logic.”
