St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center on Newborn's Death
At the St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center, the mother of a newborn who passed away two days ago had grade four obesity and was in a life-threatening condition. This was stated today, January 9, in a conversation with News.am by the medical center's spokesperson, Aida Karapetyan, commenting on the newborn's death that occurred on January 7.
"The pregnant woman was not registered at our maternity hospital. Her entire pregnancy was managed at one of the polyclinics in Yerevan. The mother had grade four obesity and was in a life-threatening condition. Unfortunately, the case has been recorded with a poor outcome at our facility. A criminal case has been initiated, and the investigation will reveal the details and reasons," she noted.
Earlier, we reported that a newborn had died at the St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center's maternity department. The mother had accused the doctors in a conversation with the website.
