Compensation for Deposits to Be Provided in 2023 to Individuals Born Until June 30, 1940
In 2022, the total amount of approximately 1.8 billion drams was allocated from the state budget for compensation of monetary deposits made until June 10, 1993, in the Soviet Union's Savings Bank of the Armenian SSR. Compensation was provided to citizens who were listed in the queue at that time. This was reported by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia.
Thus, in 2022, compensation was provided to around 9,800 citizens. The process of providing compensation for deposits will continue in 2023; a new group of beneficiaries will include individuals born on or before June 30, 1940.
For registration purposes, citizens can personally apply to the territorial center of the Unified Social Service at their place of residence (either directly or through a legal representative or an authorized representative). Deposit holders have the option to receive the funds either in cash or through non-cash means.
