Video: Perm-Moscow Flight Skids Off Runway and Becomes Stuck in Snow
A plane operated by Pobeda airline skidded off the runway at Perm Airport, but no injuries were reported among the passengers. The airport is temporarily closed as a result. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning, January 8. The Boeing 737-800 flight DR 6512, which was on the Perm-Moscow route, went off the runway during takeoff. None of the 183 passengers and crew members were harmed, and the aircraft itself sustained no damage. Currently, the plane has been evacuated from the runway to the parking area.
The airport remains closed for incoming and outgoing flights until the runway is cleared. The reasons for the incident are under investigation. Passengers have been posting videos of the situation on social media, indicating that the plane became stuck in a snow bank.
