VIDEO: Asphalt Plant in Syunik Province Shelled

On the night of January 5-6, the asphalt plant belonging to "A.A.B Project" LLC, located in the Noravan community of Syunik Province, was shelled. As a result of the shelling, the plant lost power, equipment was damaged, and the production process was disrupted.

At the time of the shelling, the plant was not operational, with only the security guard present on site. Fortunately, the guard was unharmed.

According to reports from "Aravot," the company is currently constructing strategically important roads, including the Lzen-Shamb, Tatev-Lzen, and Artsakh-Kornidzor routes. Naturally, the incident will complicate the ongoing road construction works, according to the company's officials, as several days will be needed to restore the plant's operations.

The circumstances of the incident are under investigation by law enforcement agencies.
