Video: Incident Occurred, Veolia Water Warns of Water Supply Interruption
Veolia Water has issued a statement informing that a water supply interruption will occur on January 5 due to an emergency situation in the Arabkir administrative district.
According to the announcement from Veolia Water, as a result of repair works on the "Arzni 2-Yerevan" main water pipeline, water supply will be suspended on January 5 from 13:30 to 24:00 in various streets of the Arabkir district, including Ghapanzyan, Griboedov, Arghutyun, H. Kocharyan, G. Artsruni, Riga, and several other streets including numbers 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, and parts of various addresses all around the area.
The company requests consumers’ patience for the inconvenience caused and thanks them in advance for their understanding.
Clarification: The water pipeline broke down in a section called Korean Gorge due to the illegal dumping of construction waste, including heavy rock fragments. Considering that this issue has persisted for years and frequently leads to failures of one of the city’s most vital water pipelines, Veolia Water LLC may be compelled to contact law enforcement agencies to resolve the problem.
