The Case of the Recorded Conversation Between Jhangiryan and Vardazaryan Reopened: Media
The criminal proceedings regarding the recorded conversation between former President of the Supreme Judicial Council Ruben Vardazaryan and former acting President Gagik Jhangiryan have been reopened. This was reported by Armenia Today, citing lawyer Hovhannes Khudoyan.
According to the lawyer, the proceedings have been transferred from the Investigative Committee to the Anti-Corruption Committee based on investigative jurisdiction.
It is recalled that on June 20 of last year, during a press conference convened by Ruben Vardazaryan, a controversial recording was released, which substantiated that acting President Gagik Jhangiryan attempted to coerce him into resigning in 2021. On July 1, Jhangiryan submitted his resignation.
