President of Artsakh's National Assembly Appeals to Leaders of OSCE Minsk Group Countries
The President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh, Arthur Tovmasyan, has made a call to the leaders of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries: "We are addressing the leaders of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries—President of Russia Vladimir Putin, President of the USA Joe Biden, and President of France Emmanuel Macron. Today marks the 25th day of the closure of the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the outside world.
The Artsakh issue was the only conflict for which all co-chair countries of the OSCE Minsk Group shared nearly the same viewpoint. The people of Artsakh, facing an unprecedented humanitarian disaster, need not only pointed declarations but, I believe, there is a necessity for concrete and visible actions in that direction.
Patients with severe health issues are deprived of necessary medications and healthcare services, while Artsakh is lacking in supplies of children's food and essential goods. We call upon the civilized world, especially the co-chair countries of the Minsk Group, to take specific actions to open the corridor or to activate an air bridge via the Stepanakert airport, which would allow for some prevention of the humanitarian crisis currently facing Artsakh during the winter period," the statement reads.
