Turkey and Azerbaijan Seek to Fully Capture Nagorno-Karabakh Before Syunik, Says Charlie Hebdo
The renowned French magazine Charlie Hebdo writes: “The Ukrainian war has made us forget the threats surrounding Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.”
The publication believes that now more than ever it is crucial to mobilize in support of Armenians. “This is a cry for alarm and a call to action: Readers who have pledged to support Ukraine against Russia's assault must not allow crimes to take place in the shadow of the war in Kyiv, which could lead to the disappearance of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh day by day,” the article states.
Charlie Hebdo notes that Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh are obstacles to Turkey and Azerbaijan's geopolitical agenda of connecting Turkey to the Caspian Sea and Central Asia, and therefore it is necessary to fully capture Nagorno-Karabakh first, and then Syunik.
