The Only Realistic Step Against Azerbaijan is the Imposition of Sanctions, Says Artsakh's Human Rights Defender

Azerbaijan is operating without any accountability regarding the Lachin corridor, ignoring the statements and status of international organizations. This was stated by the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, Gegham Stepanyan, on his Twitter page.

“In this situation, the only realistic step is the imposition of sanctions against Azerbaijan. International actors must decide whether the lives of starving people are more important than economic or other interests,” Stepanyan wrote.

It should be noted that Azerbaijan continues to keep the only highway connecting Artsakh to the world, the Lachin corridor, closed since December 12, citing false environmental reasons.
