Russian Defense Ministry on the Situation in Artsakh

The Russian peacekeeping contingent carrying out a mission in Artsakh continues to perform its tasks, as reported by the Russian Defense Ministry in its daily briefing published on the agency's website.

"The command of the contingent continues negotiations with the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides regarding the restoration of traffic along the Stepanakert-Goris road," the statement says.

It is recalled that since December 12, Azerbaijan has kept the only highway connecting Artsakh to the world, the Lachin corridor, closed, citing false environmental reasons.
