Lebanon Completely Experiences Power Outage
Lebanon has completely lost its electricity supply due to the failure of the operations of the country's two largest power plants. This was reported by TASS. The outages occurred due to a lack of fuel. "This happened because of delays in the supply of residual fuel from Iraq. No tanker carrying oil products arrived at the Lebanese port of Tripoli in December," said the agency's source.
It is noted that the Lebanese authorities did not accept the assistance offered by Iran, fearing U.S. and Western sanctions. In the coming hours, the government is expected to approve the operation of two previously closed small power plants in Zouk and Jiyeh, which have reserves of fuel oil in their storage facilities.
