Crematoriums in China Overwhelmed Due to Coronavirus-Related Deaths

Crematoriums in China are overwhelmed due to a high mortality rate from the coronavirus. This was reported by Bloomberg.

The number of deaths in January could reach between 9,000 and 25,000, as China halted the publication of daily coronavirus statistics in December.

According to workers at crematoriums in Beijing and Shanghai, bodies are burned around the clock every day, and the nearest available cremation appointment can only be scheduled for mid-January.

One of the Longhua crematoriums stated that they are receiving more than 500 corpses daily.
