Israel to Reduce Immigration of Non-Jews

Israel has called for a reduction in the immigration of non-Jews. This was reported by Говорит Москва.

The new Integration Minister Ofir Sofer stated that changes need to be made to the "Law of Return." In an interview with Radio Kan, he also noted that according to his data, 72% of repatriates from Russia and Ukraine in 2022 were not considered Jews under Orthodox Jewish law. Nevertheless, many of them have qualified under the Law of Return.

Sofer added that a special committee will be established to develop a new policy regarding this issue.
