Gas Prices in Europe Reach Record Low Since Start of Ukrainian War
Gas prices in Europe have dropped to a record low level since the onset of the Ukrainian war. According to 1tv.ge, the information is reported by the BBC.
As the media outlet notes, as of January 2, the price per megawatt hour was €72.75, which is nearly five times less than the price in August.
It is worth mentioning that the decline in gas prices has continued steadily throughout December. As BBC reports, this is attributed to a slightly warmer winter in Europe, which has resulted in more economical consumption of natural gas.
