Nagorno-Karabakh, Christmas Under Blockade: Greek City Times
Since December 12, the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh has worsened day by day. Starting from the 12th, a group of Azerbaijanis has blocked the Lachin corridor, the only road connecting Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh (also known as Artsakh among Armenians).
The Lachin corridor is a territory from Armenia to Artsakh, which is completely surrounded by Azerbaijan, which has consented to have the corridor under the control of Russian peacekeepers as per the ceasefire agreement of 2020. This is reported by Greek City Times.
Baku claims that the blockade is a response to its civil society initiative, while investigations by media outlets reveal links between so-called Azerbaijani "eco-activists" and the Azerbaijani government. Whether it is an environmental or political demand, the humanitarian situation on the ground is deteriorating day by day.
