Elon Musk's Wealth Decreases by $200 Billion, Equivalent to Greece's GDP
Elon Musk's wealth has experienced a decline of over $200 billion in the past 13 months, marking one of the largest losses of wealth in recent history. The tech magnate has lost more than half of his fortune from November 2021 to this December, primarily due to the collapse of Tesla's stock during this period, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
A significant portion of Musk's net worth, amounting to $208 billion, is approximately equivalent to Greece's GDP. The amount lost is also greater than the net worth of Bernard Arnault, the world's richest person. After leading the list of the wealthy for most of the year, Mr. Musk relinquished his position to the French business magnate earlier this month, although he still ranks ahead of other American tech billionaires who have dominated the list in recent years.
