We Are Truly Concerned About the Tensions Surrounding the Lachin Corridor: Peskov
The Kremlin is concerned about the tensions surrounding the Lachin Corridor. Moscow will continue its contacts with both Baku and Yerevan, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary for the Russian President, according to "RIA Novosti."
"We are truly concerned about the tensions surrounding the Lachin Corridor, and the Russian side will continue its work and efforts with both Yerevan and Baku," Peskov stated in response to journalists' questions regarding how the Kremlin assesses Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statements about Russia needing to initiate discussions in the UN Security Council concerning the provision of a mandate for Russian peacekeepers or sending additional multinational peacekeeping contingents to Nagorno-Karabakh.
