VIDEO. "They want to start a campaign against us, just stay calm in your places." What does the activist from Artsakh report?

“They want to start a campaign against us... just stay calm in your places: This is a just struggle of the people; we have self-organized because we are dissatisfied with the actions and results of our leadership. We demand Volkov because we know they can change something,” said civil activist Tigran Petrosyan during a live broadcast.

Speaking about the meeting with Artsakh parliament members regarding the closure of the Lachin corridor, Petrosyan noted: “Since Volkov did not agree to meet with us, we decided to raise our concerns to a higher level. Initially, the conversation with some MPs didn't work out because of them, but then we had a meeting with some MPs, and there was a long discussion. We demanded that, since there is no trust in the government, a public group be formed with some mandate, so that people's voices are conveyed to even higher levels— to the Russian state bodies. The parliament members, speaking with Araik Harutyunyan, said that he has given his consent. Active work is currently underway in this direction.”

He also stated that there is no serious progress regarding the opening of the Lachin corridor: “There are certain things I cannot disclose right now, because the enemy is also watching us,” Petrosyan concluded.
