VIDEO. "Armenia was brought to a point where it became unable to exist without Russia" - Arestovich
Armenia is paying the price for 30 years of mistakes and the corruption entrenched in the Karabakh clan. This statement was made by Andriy Arestovich, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, while discussing the relations between Russia and Armenia.
“I can’t find any analogues. First, Armenia was placed in a position of complete dependence on Russia. Armenia was brought to a point where it became unable to exist without Russia. All this happened because the Armenians had revanchist ideas and did not want to cooperate normally with their neighbors, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Turkey. Armenia has been in total dependence on Moscow, and then Moscow made agreements with Azerbaijan and Turkey behind the Armenians’ backs. The Armenians hoped that Russia would protect them, but it did not help during or after the war,” Arestovich stated.
