Lexus RX Catches Fire in Yerevan; Driver's Charred Body Found Inside

A Lexus RX vehicle caught fire after colliding with an electrical panel on Isakov Avenue in Yerevan, resulting in one person dead and another injured. The information was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

According to the statement, the Crisis Management National Center received a call at 03:09, indicating that a citizen was trapped inside the vehicle.

A team of firefighters from the Yerevan rescue department and a special operations group from the Rescue Forces Administration were dispatched to the scene. Before the rescuers arrived, the passenger, identified as G. M. (born in 2005), was extracted from the vehicle and hospitalized at Astghik Medical Center, later transferred to St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center, where doctors assessed the injured person's condition as satisfactory.

The fire was contained by 03:29 and extinguished by 03:55. The vehicle was burned, and the driver's charred body was discovered inside. Rescuers employed special equipment to carry out the necessary work to recover the driver’s body.
