Lavrov Highlights Key Objective of Special Operation
The head of Russia's foreign policy department has stated that one of the main objectives of the special operation is to prevent the creation of security threats to the Russian Federation in the territory of Ukraine.
Russia is preparing to ensure the fulfillment of the objectives of the special military operation, one of which is the security of the country's four new regions. This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
“As the president has emphasized, our absolute priority is the four new regions of the Russian Federation, which must be freed from nationalization threats and ensure the safety of all individuals living there,” he said in an interview with the Russian First Channel's program “Bolshaya Igra.”
The Russian foreign minister also emphasized that another important goal of the military special operation is to prevent any threats to Russia's security from being created and maintained in the territory of Ukraine.
It should be noted that on the morning of February 24, President Vladimir Putin announced a special military operation against Ukraine. Combat operations in Ukraine have been ongoing for the 306th day now.
