Iranian Police Summon Wheelchair-Bound Girl, She Removes Her Hijab in Protest
In the city of Isfahan, Iran, authorities have summoned Ava Jahangiri, a girl with a disability, to the police station via a phone call. This was reported by Hraparak.
The girl posted about it on her Instagram page and expressed concern about the reasons for her summons and what might happen to her afterwards. "I don't know if justice exists, but I hope it still does," Ava Jahangiri wrote, and in protest, she removed her hijab. She moves in a wheelchair.
