Gurgen Arsenyan Arrested for Possessing Two Axes and a Knife
It has been reported in the media that on December 27, 27-year-old Gurgen Arsenyan, a resident of Yerevan, was arrested on suspicion of carrying cold weapons and was taken to the Central Police Department. The young man was detained after two axes and a knife with a blade length of 16.5 cm were discovered in his possession.
It is noted that the arrested Gurgen Arsenyan is the son of Gurgen Arsenyan, a member of the National Assembly from the "Civil Contract" parliamentary faction.
Auroranews.am contacted Gor Abrahamyan, the press secretary of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. He told us that a case has been initiated regarding the incident under part 1 of Article 234 of the Criminal Code. The spokesman also mentioned that the circumstances of the incident need to be fully clarified, and an investigation will be conducted in that direction. Abrahamyan added that the individual in question is currently not under arrest.
