Will Vitaly Balasanyan Say Goodbye to His Position? «Hraparak»
«Hraparak» newspaper reports: The rally held in Artsakh on Sunday disproved the false claims of Azerbaijani propaganda that only a few thousand people remain in Artsakh.
In previous rallies, Azerbaijanis claimed that people were brought in buses from Armenia, but now that the corridor is closed and it is impossible to bring in people, coupled with a fuel crisis, approximately 70,000 people gathered in Renaissance Square and the surrounding area according to official data.
According to the residents of Artsakh, another significant message was the pledge from State Minister Ruben Vardanyan that there will be no concessions to Azerbaijan. The absence of Artsakh’s President Araik Harutyunyan during the speech indicates that a smooth change of power has begun in Artsakh, with Vardanyan, who is capable of rejecting compromises, coming into power instead of Harutyunyan, who failed to reject the prime minister.
By the way, our sources say that everyone willing to make concessions at the expense of the people of Artsakh will not have a place in the newly formed cabinet. We have also learned that the relations between Ruben Vardanyan and the Secretary of the Security Council Vitaly Balasanyan are quite tense. While previously Vito was the number one negotiator with the Russians and Azerbaijanis, he has now been pushed into the background and even did not attend the recent rally.
Our source mentioned that Vardanyan has demanded either him or Balasanyan. It is not ruled out that Vito may say goodbye to his position. There are even rumors circulating about his potential successor: former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army Levon Mnatsakanyan, known as Rizhiy Lyova. One more detail: former Artsakh President Bako Sahakyan is actively involved in the power reshuffling and supports Ruben Vardanyan.
