VIDEO. Current Situation in the Lachin Corridor
It has been 16 days since the only road connecting Armenia to Artsakh has been closed. While provocateurs, who call themselves independent environmentalists, have blocked the corridor near Shushi, they are drinking tea in tents set up right in the middle of the road, warming themselves around a fire and singing. The closure of this vital route, which connects Artsakh to Armenia and the world, has placed 120,000 Armenians from Artsakh, including 30,000 children, in a humanitarian crisis.
In Artsakh, 350 sick individuals have been deprived of the opportunity to be transferred to Yerevan for proper medical care. Additionally, there is a shortage of food supplies. Despite international calls for action, it appears that Azerbaijan has no intention of reopening the road.
