350 Artsakh Residents Unable to Receive Medical Assistance in Yerevan, Says Tovmasyan
Due to the blockade of the only road connecting Artsakh to the outside world and Armenia by Azerbaijan, around 350 patients are unable to receive proper medical assistance in Yerevan, stated the Chair of the Standing Committee on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs of the National Assembly of Armenia, MP Taguhi Tovmasyan.
Currently, 20 patients are in intensive care units, 10 of whom are children.
"A population of 120,000, including 30,000 children, continues to remain under complete blockade. 400 tons of food and medicines are not allowed to be delivered to Artsakh. This is a gross violation of human rights by Azerbaijan, which deserves a strong response from the international community and the implementation of preventive measures," Tovmasyan wrote on Facebook.
