International Media Reaction to the Rally Held in Stepanakert
The rally, held on December 25 in the Republic of Artsakh's capital, Stepanakert, has captured the attention of several leading international media outlets. The event was reported by a correspondent from Agence France Presse (AFP), with coverage also provided by France 24, Digital Journal, Channel News Asia, and RFI.
The article briefly outlines the prevailing situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the blockade that has affected the people of Artsakh for over two weeks.
According to the author, citing the Armenian government, the blockade of the Lachin corridor has resulted in a shortage of food, medicine, and fuel in Nagorno-Karabakh. The AFP correspondent spoke with 70-year-old Stepanakert resident Donara Gabrielyan, who emphasized that the Lachin corridor connects Artsakh not only with Armenia.
“This is the only road that connects Artsakh with the rest of the world, not just Armenia, as we connect to the world through Armenia,” said Donara Gabrielyan.
The recent rally in Stepanakert was also addressed by the TASS news agency, which presented the blockade of the Lachin corridor over the past two weeks along with statements from both parties regarding the situation.
