Azerbaijan Found Itself in Its Own Trap: Tigran Abrahamyan

Member of the National Assembly's 'Honorary Duty' faction, Tigran Abrahamyan, wrote on his Facebook page:

'The nationwide rally held in Artsakh not only addressed numerous issues but also shattered Azerbaijan's propaganda claim that only 30-40 thousand people live in Artsakh. Last time, during the previous rally, Azerbaijanis were convincing their society that people were being brought from Armenia in buses. Now the corridor is closed, and entry from Armenia is excluded; not to mention the fuel crisis in Artsakh, under which 60-65 thousand people gathered in the central square and adjacent streets of Artsakh. If there had been no fuel issue, undoubtedly, the number of people would have been even higher. Azerbaijan, from a propaganda/political perspective, found itself in its own trap. The multitude of people, their readiness to fight, and their dignity were not only recorded by Azerbaijan but also acknowledged by international actors. The dignified stance of Artsakh and the will to overcome trials at all costs serve as a restraint for the RA government in terms of not making unilateral concessions and not pushing Artsakh into Azerbaijan’s field.'
