Pashinyan Struggles to Forgive His Allies
The newspaper 'Joghourd' reports: The relationship between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his allies has soured since the recent convention of the ruling 'Civil Contract' party about two months ago.
According to 'Joghourd', Pashinyan has not forgiven the electoral fraud that occurred during the selection of party council members, after which the council members were replaced. At meetings with his allies, he constantly reminds them of this.
“Every time Pashinyan makes appointments from outside his team, which sparks surprise and anger among his allies, he urges everyone to 'calmly take their seats', as they have tarnished his title of conducting flawless and untainted elections,” a source close to the authorities told 'Joghourd'. “Pashinyan cannot forgive this, because both representatives of civil society in Armenia and various European organizations have always highlighted the fair and transparent elections held since 2018. However, nowadays, the current authorities have lost that card as well,”
Our sources also conveyed that Nikol Pashinyan has told his allies that he no longer wants to continue down the road with the majority of them.
He emphasizes that it is time to breathe new life into 'Civil Contract' by replacing old allies with new ones, the latest proof being the appointment of Tigran Khachatryan to the position of Deputy Prime Minister.
