Over 5000 Flights Canceled in the U.S. Due to Known Causes

U.S. airlines have canceled thousands of flights this week due to winter storms, extreme cold, and strong winds. It is noteworthy that this situation has occurred just a few days before Christmas.

According to CNBC, from Wednesday to Friday, carriers canceled more than 5000 flights in the U.S., according to FlightAware’s tracking site. The hardest hit on December 22 were two major airports in Chicago and Denver International Airport. Today, the most significant disruptions are expected at airports in New York, Detroit, and Chicago.
