VIDEO: Spain's Congress Issues Statement on the Blockade of the Lachin Corridor

On December 22, Spain's Congress unanimously adopted a statement regarding the blockade of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan and the resulting humanitarian crisis. This information was provided by the Armenian Embassy in Spain.

It is noteworthy that since 10:30 AM on December 12, the connection between the villages of Lisagor, Big Shen, Old Shen, and Yeghdzahogh in the Shushi region and the capital Stepanakert has been interrupted. An operational headquarters has been established under the leadership of Artsakh’s State Minister Ruben Vardanyan, functioning on a 24-hour basis to coordinate efforts in the situation created by the blockade of the road connecting Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Since December 14, protests have been held near various organizations' offices and embassies in Armenia. Additionally, during a government meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Azerbaijan continues to implement a policy of “Mountainous Karabakh without Armenians,” and the Armenian side must do everything to ensure this policy receives appropriate international recognition.

In the early hours of December 16, the State Minister of Artsakh reported that the gas supply to Artsakh had been restored. The UN Security Council has discussed the situation in the Lachin Corridor, during which representatives from the US, Russia, France, and Great Britain emphasized the need to restore traffic through the corridor.
