Pele's Condition Worsens

The health condition of Brazilian football legend Pele, a three-time World Cup champion, has deteriorated, according to reports from the former footballer's doctors, as cited by TASS.

"Edson Arantes do Nascimento, who was hospitalized on November 29 to adjust chemotherapy for colon cancer and treat a respiratory infection, is experiencing negative trends in his cancer and thus requires more intensive care due to kidney and heart dysfunction," the statement from the São Paulo clinic said.

At the same time, the doctors noted that Pele does not yet need to be transferred to an intensive care unit or a semi-intensive therapy unit and continues to remain in a regular ward.
